The campaign was launched at a London meeting on June 2nd.
The aims were agreed as follows:
- We are against the UK and Western governments’ backing for the far-right regime in Kiev.
- We oppose the planned NATO exercises in Ukraine.
- We demand that the killers of 42 people at the House of Trade Unions in Odessa on May 2nd be brought to justice.
- We are against attacks on democratic rights and the repression of left-wing organisations.
- We support the antifascist resistance in Ukraine.

This is a great initiative. I’ve been very troubled by the support of western governments for a coup d’etat in Ukraine, and by its support of neo-Nazis in government there. I’m also deeply troubled about the demonization of Russia, and Putin, since it seems western governments are creating a drumbeat towards a war that could escalate very quickly. I’m wondering if I could contribute some money to this campaign.
I’m a Professor of Anthropology at University of Lethbridge, in Alberta, Canada, although I’m retiring at the end of June. There are no solidarity movements here so I searched google and came up with this.
Hi Judy. Have you contacted the campaign directly via email? I’m sure it would appreciate any support that you can give in building it up. Apologies since this is a late reply, but I thought I should respond to you and check.
