On August 4 there was a rally against mobilisation in the village of Voznesenka, Zaporizhia Oblast, where about 100 women demanded an end to the “fratricidal war”. In Kyiv, about 60 women from an organisation of mothers against war from Kharkov protested outside the Rada building (parliament) on August 5.
The protest in Voznesenka was a spontaneous gathering of people to protest against the new mobilisation law passed by Parliament, according to 112.ua, and demanding that men of military age should not be sent to the area of the “anti terrorist operation”.
According to a local paper “Our Town“, there was a similar protest in the neighbouring village of Kostyantynivka.
On August 5, a group of about 60 women gathered outside the building of the Rada (parliament) in Kyiv to protest against the war. They belonged to the “Kharkov Womens’ Collective”, an organisation which has been agitating against the war in the Donbas.
The women were confronted by a group of masked thugs from the Maidan self-defence and some carrying banners from the neo-nazi Right Sector as can be seen in this Ruptly video:
